Plate Tectonics

Next week we will begin our unit on Plate Tectonics.  What do you think we will be discussing in this unit?  What topics will we discuss?  What possible labs would you be interested in doing?

    We will probably discuss the movement of tectonics plates, earth quakes, volcanoes, and the shape of our continents. I would like to make an experimental baking soda volcano and observe how the eruption works.

  2. I think that during this unit will will discuss how tectonic plates shift. We will also probably discuss how the movement of tectonic plates relates to tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes.
    I would be interested in building a model of a volcano to explore the process of volcanic eruption.

  3. We will be discussing how the continents split apart. We will discuss earthquakes and volcanoes, too. We would like it a lot if we could make a volcano and watch it explode. It would be even more fun if we could chose the groups we made the volcanoes with. It would also be fun to simulate an earthquake.

    We think we will be discussing the movement of tectonic plates, earthquakes, and volcanoes. We will also be learning how earthquakes cause tsunamis. We hope to build a model volcano and test how earthquakes occur.

    We also think it would be fun if we could make a model volcano and watch it erupt.

    Our comment to you is the same as ours to Lorraine and Julia.

    In the unit plate-tectonics we will probably we talking about volcanoes, Earth Quakes, and the Earth itself. It would be cool to make a model of a volcano and to see it erupt for a project.

    @Matthew Murphy and Bryant Winters
    I'm wondering how we could test how Earth Quakes occur?

  8. I think we will explore the movements of tectonic plates and also explore earthquakes and volcanoes. I would want to do a model volcano and simulate an earthquake.

  9. I can't wait to learn about plate tectonics and how they can affect the earth by causing earthquakes and making volcanoes. I think making model volcanoes would be pretty fun to do. Also build or watch how a earthquake can cause a tsunami.

  11. plate tectonics are in the earths crust the plates make earthquaks when they slide acrosed eachother.

    plate tectonics are the earths crust they when she moves they cause earth quakes.

    Plate tectonics are plates on the earths surface and they shift which causes earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters. We think a good experiment would be to make an example of plates and see what they do when you move them certain ways. we think we will be learning about what the effects are and how/why they move.

    Plate tectonics are plates on the earths surface.They shift and at causes earhtquakes,floods,and hurricanes and some other disaster at we might of not of said.Me and Manasa the experiment would be good to make and example of plaes and see what the plates would do when they move.
