How do you use minerals?

What minerals do you use everyday?  What minerals are all around you that you didn't realize?  Go to the link below.  Chose one of the links: building a house, in the kitchen, around the home, etc.  List all of the materials which contain minerals.  What minerals are found in each of them.

  1. Bricks and tiles contain clay. Cement contains Gypsum and Limestone. Plasterboard contains powdered Gypsum. Nails bolts screws etc. contain iron steel and zinc. Pipes contain Copper and Galena and Lead. Windows contain Quartz. House numbers contain Chromium.

    We use lightbulbs that are made of Wolframite and Tugsten. Pens are made of Wolframite. Paper is made of clay, mica, and talic. Electronics have gold. Computors have silicon and quarts. Medicine is made of Kaolinite.

    We use light bulbs that are made of Tugsten and Wolframite. We have thermometers that contains mercury which comes from an ore, cinnabar. We have toothpaste which contains fluoride. We also have many more that contain minerals.

  4. We us light bulbs made from Wolframite and Tugsten. Our thermometers are made from mercury, and mercury is made of ore and cinnabar. The toothpaste that contains fluoride. Electronics have gold. Medicine is made from kaolinite and the computers have silicon and quartz.

    Thermometers are made of mercury, Some counter tops are made of granite, paper is made of clay, light bulbs are made of tugsten and wolframite, and toothpaste has fluoride in it.

    Some counter tops are granite, graphite, limestone etc. Stainless steel is in silver wear, on some microwaves, dish washers, and refrigerators. kaolinite is in mugs quartz in glasses. iron copper and aluminum are in pots and pans.
