Condensed water vapor floating in the atmosphere that is visible.Clouds form when air cools to the point where some of the water vapor comes together to form a cloud.Cumulus meaning heap or pile flat on the bottom with big billowy tops
Stratus meaning layer. It is like a blanket of clouds covering the air.
Cirrus meaning curl of hair. It is a thin cloud.
Nimbus meaning rain or rainy cloud likely to bring precipitation. Lightning forms from negative charges in clouds that are attracted to positive charges in other clouds or on the ground. There are around 1500 to 30000 amperes in a return stroke of lighting.

  3. A cloud is condensation form of water vapor.
It forms by water building up a large mass of water.
There are four types of clouds:
Cumulus - meaning heap or pile
    Stratus - meaning layer
Cirrus - meaning curl of hair
Nimbus - meaning rain or rainy cloud
Lightning is formed by static electricity. Which is when the cloud rub against each other creating electricity. Like when you are wearing sock and running you feet across the carpet and go and touch some one or some thing and shock your self or that person.
There are between 15000 to 30000 amperes in a return stroke of lightning.

Yes, that is correct that nimbus means rain or rainy cloud.
Did you know that cumulus and nimbus clouds can combine to form a towering storm cloud, that is called cumulonimbus?

We have noticed that cirrus clouds look like strands of hair.

We have also noticed that stratus clouds (which are layers) are typically dark gray.

Clouds are collections of water in the atmosphere.
Cumulus (meaning heap or pile) clouds are flat on the bottom and poofy/fluffy at the top.
Stratus (meaning layer) clouds are thin and widespread.
Cirrus (meaning curl of hair) clouds are thin and wispy.
Nimbus (meaning rain or rainy cloud) are most likely going to cause precipitation.

Lightning is the way that the atmosphere balances electric charges that have been separated. Those charges are separated when rain and ice particles collide. The particles of an electron cause the lower part of the storm to be filled with a negative charge, and since the earth has a positive charge, lightning is created.

In a return stroke of lightning can have up to a hundred thousand amperes.

Clouds are collections of condensed water vapor in the sky. They form when water vapor condenses in the sky. The cloud types are cumulus which means heap or pile, stratus which means layer, cirrus meaning curl of hair, and nimbus meaning rain or rainy cloud. lightning forms when a spark of electrons forms inside a cloud 5 miles up and then begins to branch off and split until it reaches the ground, where objects send up little streamers of electrons and when they collide the lightning surges with electricity and strikes. There are 10000 amperes in a return strike.

Clouds are collections of water in the sky. They form by condensation. The names if the clouds are Cumulus, Stratus, Cirrus, and Nimbus. Cumulus (means heap or pile) clouds are flat on the bottom with big, billowy tops. Stratus (means layer) clouds are short and spread across great distances. Cirrus (means curl of hair) clouds are wispy and thin. Nimbus (means rain or rainy cloud)clouds are likely to bring precipitation.Lightning forms from a tiny spark in the cloud, then electrons come out and travels 100 meters then stops and pulls for a few miliseconds. Then it goes in a different direction again and again and sometimes splits. This is called a stepped leader. When it gets close to the ground its electric feild exerts a pull on the ground. When the object on earth feel that the stepped leader is there they sent out streamers. When one of the streamers hits the stepped leader the electrons drain to earth in a bolt of light. The part closest to the ground drains first, and then it drains further and further up until it gets to the cloud itself. There are 1500-30000 amperes in a return stroke of lightning.

Clouds are the visible mass of water vapor in the air. Water heats up and turns into water vapor. The water vapor goes up into the air. Then on a really cold day the water vapor condenses into clouds.
-Cumulus (means "heap" or "pile"): flat on the bottom with big billowy tops.
-Stratus (means "layer"): short and spread across great distances.
-Cirrus (means "curl of hair"): wispy and thin.

Clouds are big ball of gas and they are formed by evaporation.
    Cloud Names:
    1.Cumulus-means heap or pile
    2.Stratus-means layer
    3.Cirrus-means curl of hair
    4.Nimbus-means rain or rainy cloud

lightening is formed by negative electrons creating a spark an the Earths gravitational pull pulls it down.

Clouds are different shapes and sizes of water vapor in the air.
Clouds form by water building up into a cloud.
    Cumulus means heap or pile.
    Stratus means layer.
    Cirrus means curl or hair.
Nimbus means rain or rainy cloud.
Lightning forms because it is a charged region high inside the cloud also because of electricity.
There are 1,500 to 30,000 ampers in a return stroke.

Clouds are made of water vapor and are formed by water evaporating water. The names and meanings of clouds are Cumulus- Heap or pile. Flat on the bottom with big billowy tops. Stratus-layer. Short and spread across great distances. Cirrus- Curl of hair. Wispy and thin. Nimbus- rain or rainy cloud. Lightning is formed by Lightning forms from a tiny spark in the cloud, then electrons come out and travels 100 meters then stops and pulls for a few miliseconds. Are more Likely to bring precipitation.

John is here with me talking about clouds now here's Simon with the wacky weather report.Yesterday there was a sever storm it was started by clouds in the atmosphere had carried water and when it got to heavy the rain just poured down.Clouds are formed by evaporation of liquids.Clouds are water vapor that has gotten to a certain temperature the liquid would evaporate it to the air and would collect and would for into a gas.

  55. Clouds are made by water vapour. Clouds names include...

    Cumulus meaning heap or pile.

    startus meaning layer

    Cirrus meaning curl of hair.

Nimbus meaning rain or raining cloud.

  56. Clouds are water vapor in the air. They form by the process of condensation and evaporation, by heating up then evaporate into the air. The types of clouds are:
Cumulus which look flat on the bottom with big billowy top. It's heap or pile.
Stratus is short and spread across great distances.
Cirrus looks like curl of hair. It's wispy and thin.
Nimbus is a rainy cloud. It is more likely to bring precipitation, which is rain.
Lightening forms by static electricity, which means the clouds are rubbing against each other to create electricity. There are 1,500-30,000 amperes in the return stroke of lightening.

  58. Clouds-Clouds form by evaporation and condensation if there is a bowl of water left out side some will got up to the clouds but the rest will become water vapor which goes up into the sky and becomes air. When water goes between the solid liquid and gas forms, and its in the sky there is a chance that when it gets colder it looks like clouds but its really the vapor that condenses which makes it look as it is a cloud.Clouds are a thing of water vapor.
Cumulus-Flat on the bottom with big pillowy tops.
Stratus-short and spread across great distances.
    Cirrus- wispy and thin.
    Nimbus- likely to bring precipitation.
There are a total of 1500-30000

  60. Clouds are basicly lots and lots of water vapor mushed together. First their cirrus clouds and the mean fair weather. Then theirs cumoulus clouds and they stand for warm weather most of the time. Then the last type of clouds are stratus stratus clouds bring continuse rain. Lightning forms from charges in thunderclouds . In the cloud their is negative and positive charges when a negative charge bumps into a positive charge it produces lightning. 15000-30000 amperes.
