Dark Matter

Have you ever wondered what holds the universe together?  Have you ever heard the term dark matter before?  Have you wondered what it is all about?  Watch this short video and see a short explanation about dark matter and tell me what you think.

What is dark matter?

  1. We have wondered a little bit about what holds the universe together but we figured it was the gravity. We have never herd the term Dark Matter before so we didn't know what it meant. Nobody has ever seen it but we do know its there.

  2. Dark matter is what holds stars together as galaxies along with gravity. You can not see dark matter but it is more common then visible matter in the universe.

  3. Yes I've wondered what hold the universe together. No I have never heard the term dark matter. The video was very interesting. it said that dark matter is what helps gravity hold on to the planets and stars in the universe.

Dark Matter spreads through space. It is 4 times more common than visible matter. We can't see it but we know it's there because of gravity.

We thought gravity held the universe together. We have never heard the term Dark Matter before, but when we saw the term we wondered what it was all about.

Dark matter is also what helps the universe to constantly expand.

  6. We have wondered what holds the universe together, but didn't really know what it was, so we just thought it was gravity, because that's what holds everything else together.Yes we have heard of Dark Matter, but we didn't know what it was, But we did want to know what it was.

I have wondered what holds the universe together but, I have never heard the term dark matter before. I haven't really wondered what dark matter is all about but, now that I know I think it's fascinating how dark matter works because I never knew it was spread throughout space. We know it's there because of gravity and we use what we can see to tell us about what we can't.

  8. We have wondered what holds the universe together. We have heard the term before. We liked the video it was very nifty. Dark matter is what helps hold the whole universe together.

  9. I have heard of dark matter but not many times before. Its the invisible matter that holds the galaxies together along with gravity.

  10. I did kind of wonder what held the universe together, but I thought that it might be gravity. The video told me that that thought was incorrect. The universe is held together by dark matter. No, I have never heard the term dark matter before, but I learned a lot about it from the video. I learned that it holds the universe together, and I learned that we can not see it.

Dark matter is the black stuff in space in between the stars. Dark matter keeps the stars from flying of of the galaxy. I, Abby, have heard of dark matter from a book, but it was called black matter. Jenny hasn't. We have never wondered what held the universe together.

No we have never really wondered what holds the universe together. None of us have heard the term "Dark Matter." None of us wondered what it is about. The viedo had cool drawlings and made Drew laugh. It also said That Dark Matter holds the planets together.

Katherine: I have heard of dark matter on a physics show. They were getting very involved in experiments and tests.
    Bailee: How?
Katherine:I do not exactly remember I didn't understand dark matter very well.

Katherine: I think it is gravity that holds together the universe, but dark matter strengthens gravity because if there is more mass then the pull of gravity is stronger.

I don't think stars stay in space because of gravity the video said that gravity is not strong enough to hold everything together. Dark matter holds everything together.

We never knew exactly what held the universe together, we both thought it was just gravity from the stars and planets and such. I have heard about dark matter before but Cara has not, when I heard it I had no idea what it was or ment, some kind of unstable matter came to mind when someone brought it up. We didnt really know what it was or what it ment so we never thought about it that much. We think that after we watched the video that dark matter is pretty much just gravity that we cant see.
