Solar Flares

How cool is this?  A strong solar flare was erupted from the sun on Friday, January 27.  This was the strongest of week long eruptions.  What are solar flares?  Where on the sun do they originate?  What kind of things do solar flares effect on Earth?  Do these things occur in a cycle?  How long is the cycle?  What do you think about all of this?

Sun Unleashes Solar Flares

Solar flares short, but powerful eruptions of particles and electromagnetic radiation from the sun's surface. We think that solar flares originate from sunspots. Solar flares affect the radio waves on earth. They can disrupt the communication between radios. The sun's activity changes and repeats in about an eleven-year cycle. We believe that it is interesting to see how the sun moves and changes and how it can be similar or very different to earth. We are also interested in how the sun's activity affects the earth.

Solar flares are pretty cool because of the video that we watched. Solar flares are powerful short eruptions of particles and electromagnetic radiation from the sun. The solar flares come from sunspots. They affect the radio waves and the auroras. The solar flare repeats in an eleven year cycle. The solar flare cycle is 11 years long. We think it is interesting to learn about the solar flares because we didn't know anything about the solar flares until we read this article and we didn't know what they looked like.
