Igneous rocks form in two different ways. If they are intrusive igneous rocks, magma cools and hardens inside of the earth. If they are extrusive, the magma erupts from a volcano, then cools and hardens to from igneous rocks. Igneous comes from a Latin word that means fire. Some extrusive rocks are obsidian, pumice, and scoria. Some intrusive rocks are basalt and granite.

Igneous Rocks come from cooled magma. Igneous, or "igni" means fire. The types are Basalt and Granite. They are found on the deep sea ground or Volcanic islands

Also they are found on the Earths surface near volcanoes.

  3. Igneous rocks come from lava erupted at the Earth's surface at shallow depths. 'Igneous' comes from the Latin word for 'fire'. The types of igneous rock that there are would be basalt, granite, gabbro, rhyolite, peridoite, and many other rocks. We can find igneous rocks in the deep sea floor, above Earth's subduction zones, and in some of Earth's continents.

  4. Igneous rock can form two ways, Intrusive and Extrusive. Extrusive rocks formed when the magma is erupted from a volcano and cools on the surface. Intrusive from the other hand is magma that cools inside the earth in magma chambers. Igneous is Latin for fiery, or burning. Obsidian is a extrusive rock and grantie is an intrusive rock.

Igneous rocks form from volcanoes and magma underground. In Latin Igneous means fire. Basaltic and Granitic. Granite is formed underground. Basalt is formed above ground.

Igneous comes from Latin and means fire. Igneous rocks are formed in 3 places. The 3 places are where lithospheric plates pull apart at mid-ocean ridges, where plates come together at subduction zones, and where continental crust is pushed together. Intrusive and extrusive are the 2 types of igneous rocks. Intrusive rocks cool more slowly and have bigger crystals and small-medium sized grains. Extrusive rocks form more quickly so they have smaller crystals and have invisible or very small sized grains. Igneous rocks are found deep in the ocean and on Earth's continents.

Igneous rocks come from magma that has cooled. Igneous rocks can be cooled slowly under the surface or above the surface quickly. When they are cooled under the surface they are called intrusive. When they cool above the surface they are called extrusive. Igneous comes from the Latin word meaning fire.

Igneous rocks come from volcanoes, made from lava or magma. If they have been made from magma they cold slowly underground, are called Intrusive rocks and then people dug them up or they were pushed up by other rocks. If made from lava they cool quickly above ground and are Extrusive rocks. Igneous comes from the Latin word "fire" because they are made from hot materials and can come from volcanoes. The two types of rocks are described above, Intrusive: Formed above ground and Extrusive: Formed underground. Some examples of these rocks would be hard rocks like granite and basalt. And there are soft rocks like mica.
